Student answer (Band 5.0)
In many countries, there are many outgoing facilities instead of government should heavily invest of new railway lines and spent on the improving of existing public transports.
Overall, both transport have their advantages. The fast trains have their own track instead of passing between the traffic and public transport have their advantages. The public transport can go where the fast train cannot.
To begin with the fast trains, it has their own separate track for passing. Government should spent heavily on construction new railway lines and track for fast trains. They should construct a separate ticket house for train. The trains has their fix timing at 6am to 10pm. Students and office employees benefit greatly from this. Another advantages of travelling in it is that they are not stuck in traffic. Government should mainly focus on spent to construct the track to cover the main areas to city.
In addition, the public transport have their own advantages. Government should heavily spent on the roads to make people travel easy and convenient. If people want to go to the streets they use public transport to go in the streets. There are many kinds of public transport. For examples Rickshaw, Metro, Careem etc.
In my opinion, If the people wants to travel not to stuck in the traffic. They should travel on the fast trains and if they wants to travel in the local streets and markets. They travel to there from public transport.
In conclusion, public transport and the fast trains have their many advantages. Government should spent heavily on tracks and roads to make people travel easy and convenient.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides by discussing fast trains and local public transport, and your opinion is that each is useful for different journeys. Examples such as avoiding traffic and reaching local streets are relevant to the question. However, the discussion remains limited and does not fully explain the case for investing in existing transport: the point about improving roads is brief, and there is little consideration of benefits such as reliability, capacity, or affordability. Your position is also not consistently clear; the opening sentence is difficult to interpret, while the conclusion recommends spending on both without explaining how priorities should be balanced. Develop each view with a clear reason and a specific example, then state your preference more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two transport options, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression between ideas is limited, and several points are repeated, particularly the recommendation to spend heavily on tracks and roads. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “In addition” help signal sections, but connections within paragraphs are often unclear; for example, the ticket house and fixed timetable appear without explaining how they support the argument. Some references, including “it” and “they,” are also unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, explain it, and use more precise links between the claim and its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant transport vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “traffic,” “public transport,” “construction,” and “separate track,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “heavily spent” and “advantages.” Some word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “outgoing facilities,” “ticket house,” and “travel easy and convenient.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Aim for more precise collocations and vary repeated terms; for instance, describe investment in “high-speed rail infrastructure” or “upgrading existing services,” and use “stations” rather than “ticket house” where appropriate. Check that each phrase expresses the intended transport concept.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer structures, including the conditional sentence beginning “If people want to go to the streets,” and you use basic sequencing and contrast. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “Government should spent,” “The trains has,” and “the public transport have”; these should use consistent subject–verb agreement and correct verb forms. The opening sentence is also difficult to parse, and the opinion sentence beginning “In my opinion” contains faulty conditional and infinitive structures. These errors can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build controlled complex sentences using “because,” “while,” and “if.”
