Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You give a clear preference for improving public transport, especially in “From my mind, money should spend on public transport,” and you offer relevant points about affordability and facilities. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the case for building high-speed railway lines is not meaningfully explained: the reference to “rich peoples” and “brand railwar” is difficult to interpret and is not supported with a clear reason. Your points about public transport are also repeated rather than developed with specific examples. The response contains 209 words, below the required 250, so there is limited space to explain the arguments. To strengthen the response, explain each side clearly and support your opinion with a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an opening, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “In conclusion” help signal the ending. However, the progression of ideas is difficult to follow. The opening begins with “Say lines for very fast trains,” which does not establish the issue clearly, and the body moves between reasons without showing how they connect. “Intially, first reason” and “Third reason” suggest a sequence, but the second reason is not clearly identified, while several points about people using public transport are repeated. References such as “He used” also make it unclear who is being discussed. Use one paragraph for each view, then a separate paragraph for your opinion, with clear links between each claim and its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “public transport,” “railway lines,” “facilities” and “large sums,” so the reader can identify the general topic. However, the range is repetitive, and several word choices or spellings make key ideas hard to understand, such as “railway lines public irritant,” “private come citizen” and “brand railwar.” Repeated use of “many people” and “used” also limits precision. Aim to choose accurate transport-related phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, explain whether you mean that existing trains are uncomfortable or that services are unreliable. More precise vocabulary would make your reasons clearer without requiring complicated expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

You attempt some longer sentences, including one beginning “Because public transport saves money,” and you use basic sentence forms to state your opinion. However, sentence structures are very limited overall, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “many people does not use trains,” “money should spend” and “it is better that constructing.” Some sentences are fragments, such as “Because public transport saves money public and taken sevral facilities,” while full stops are often missing after sentences. Practise forming complete subject–verb–object sentences, then join related ideas with “because” or “although” while keeping the verb form consistent.
