Student answer (Band 5.0)
Okay this the actually a great debate between those type of people who have different perspectives. I have to discuss the two personality here .On is who thinks that spend large amount of money on constructing railways betweenthe cities are more usefull for the fast transortaion. Actually they if they have fast transportation then they easily go here and there. In this ay they can save a lot of time and they can utilize that time on the other activities. Actually that type of people are inspired by foreign countrie like Japan. In Japan bullet trains are very common .That typ of buses can travel a loong distance in very no time. By seeing this they want that type of facilty in thir own country. This notion is not even bad .
One the other hand there are the people who think that money should be spend on the improving the existence public transport . This idea also sounds good because if you want development in your own country then you have to focus on your personal and nearby cicumstances first then you shoould go further. Actualy that type of people are also inspired by foreign countries because they were also become a successful nation by made themselves so strong and keep their existing system update according to the modernization. This is much more important notion.
Now i have to give my own opinion about that types of people who have different types of perspectives. By the way that both of the thoughts are very impressive . Genuinly i prefer both type of people because i think our country need this types of people who want to make their country developed. But now we have focus on the second notion first then the second notion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both proposed approaches and give a preference for improving existing transport first, so the main parts of the task are present. The first body paragraph explains that high-speed trains could save time and refers to Japan’s bullet trains; the second argues that a country should strengthen its current system before expanding. However, these points remain broad and are not developed with specific consequences or a relevant example from the writer’s own country or experience. Your position is also difficult to follow at the end: “i prefer both type of people” does not clearly state which investment you support, and “then the second notion” appears to repeat rather than clarify your priority. State a consistent view and explain why it is preferable.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: separate paragraphs introduce each view, followed by a paragraph for your opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and the reader can generally identify the topic of each section. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, with several ideas repeated rather than linked through explanation. Phrases such as “Actually” and “that type of people” recur, while the final paragraph repeats the discussion instead of drawing the argument together. Some references are unclear, particularly “then the second notion,” which makes the conclusion hard to interpret. Use clearer links between claim, reason, and example, and make the conclusion state your position directly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to transport and development, including “constructing railways,” “fast transportation,” “bullet trains,” and “modernization.” These choices allow the reader to understand the general subject and show an attempt to discuss both sides. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated or imprecise, such as “that type of people,” “notion,” and “make their country developed.” Frequent spelling errors—including “usefull,” “transortaion,” “countrie,” and “facilty”—also make the writing less fluent to read. Aim for more precise transport-related expressions and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general words with specific terms will help you explain the benefits and drawbacks more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, for example, “if you want development in your own country then you have to focus…” However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make the reader pause to interpret the meaning. Examples include “Okay this the actually a great debate,” “they were also become a successful nation,” and “now we have focus,” where verb forms and sentence construction are not controlled. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “the two personality” and the spacing around full stops. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, with limited accurate variety. Practise building clear subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms and punctuation.
