Student answer (Band 4.0)
The transportation is very necesary for travel in every country instead of going through walk because anyone now a days get tired from job and other situations so they can't afford to walk easily.
I think that both of views can exists that they should spend large amount on constructing new railway lines for very fast train between cities because people have not more time to get thier destination as soon as possible so they face so many difficulties during travel. And also the people who believes that the money should be spent on improving existing public transportation because in peolple in small countries or cities can't afford the railways or trains in thier city or country so they have to spend money on small transportation like taxis and others vehicles.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You identify both sides of the debate: fast railways could help people reach destinations quickly, while improving existing transport could serve people in smaller cities who cannot use rail services. However, the discussion is very brief and these points are only stated, not explained with specific reasons or examples. Your own opinion is also unclear: “I think that both of views can exists” does not say which investment you consider more important or how the two should be balanced. The response contains 114 words, so it is 136 words below the required minimum; 17 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view in a separate paragraph, then state and support a clear position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening statement is followed by a sentence presenting the two views. The linking expressions “And also” and “because” show some awareness of how to connect ideas. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or conclusion, and the long second sentence combines several points without showing their relationship clearly. For example, the shift from fast trains to transport in small cities is difficult to follow within the same sentence. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your opinion, and connect each reason to its explanation with clear referencing and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant transport vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “fast train,” “public transportation,” and “taxis,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, such as “thier,” “peolple,” and “going through walk.” Phrases such as “small transportation” and “other vehicles” are also vague or unnatural for this topic. These limitations make the response less precise, although the main ideas can still be understood. Build a wider set of accurate terms for transport systems and their benefits, and check spelling and collocations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons using clauses with “because,” and the main message is usually recoverable. However, control of basic sentence forms is inconsistent. For example, “both of views can exists” has errors in the determiner and verb form, while “anyone now a days get tired” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and the second sentence is overloaded, making its relationships difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles, and verb forms, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
