Student answer (Band 6.0)
The construction of any transport facility can be beneficial for the general population. Many countries believe that spending a diverse amount of capital in expansion of new railways connecting the cities, can be a productive move. While others focus on ameliorating the current public transport.
Moderinisation is essential for any state. New railway tracks can become more fruitful for the general public because it will facilitate everyone in terms of transport. People can easily travel from one town to another without any hussle. However, the authorities have to spend more capital for its contruction and maintenance depending upon the services. Also, it takes a lot of time and effort to contruct any project.
Public transport also aids the public in their daily life activities as great number of individuals use this service. From school, college, university students to corporate officers, and labours, almost every other citizen of the middle class households get benefit from it which ultimately rise the taxes of a country. However, it is substantial to keep on improving the transport facility in order to provide ease to the citizens.
In my perspective, the maintenance of current public transport is more beneficial for any state. For a country like Pakistan, the construction of green line "Breeze", which is a bus service from Numaish Road to Surjani Town has helped a lot of people who previously used other means of transport to travel as it is 100% traffic free which ultimately saves time. Overall, I would suggest that any state should spend more capital on enhancing the facilities of their current public transport.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for improving existing public transport: “the maintenance of current public transport is more beneficial.” The example of Karachi’s Green Line bus service gives your opinion a relevant real-world illustration. However, the two views are not developed equally. The case for new high-speed rail is described mainly in general terms, and the discussion does not explain its particular advantages, such as faster intercity journeys or reduced pressure on roads. The public-transport paragraph also makes an unclear claim that its use “ultimately rise[s] the taxes of a country.” Develop each position with a clear reason and explanation, and make sure examples directly support the point being discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on the two options, and a concluding opinion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to follow, and transitions such as “However” and “In my perspective” help signal contrasts and your position. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical. For example, the sentence about public transport users leading to higher taxes does not clearly follow from the list of passengers, and “which ultimately saves time” has an unclear reference in the Green Line example. Improve progression by linking each supporting sentence explicitly to its paragraph’s main idea, and use referencing that makes clear what “it” or “which” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “construction,” “maintenance,” “public transport,” and “enhancing the facilities.” There are also attempts at less common wording, such as “ameliorating” and “substantial,” showing a willingness to vary expression. However, some choices are inaccurate or unnatural in context: “a diverse amount of capital,” “fruitful” for a railway line, and “100% traffic free” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Spelling errors such as “Moderinisation,” “hussle,” and “contruction” also reduce accuracy. Prefer natural collocations and check spelling carefully; precise phrases such as “a considerable investment” and “reduce travel time” would make the argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including contrast clauses beginning with “While” and “However,” and the meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain. For example, “a great number of individuals use this service” needs an article, while “which ultimately rise the taxes” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an unclear grammatical relationship. The opening “While others focus on ameliorating the current public transport” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. There are also punctuation issues, such as the comma separating the subject from the verb in “railways connecting the cities, can be.” Review sentence boundaries, agreement, and article use, then proofread complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete.
