Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern society, this issue has become a subject of growing concern. In my opinion i completely agree with this perspective to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. As the world has becomes the golbal village through network or internet. And we have to make a pace with rest of countries to become a developed country. Today's generation love the modernization. People don't have enough time to travel the long destinations on public transport because it took a long time to cover it. The fast train setup should be installed in the country to cover long distance in no time. So the gvernment should spend more money for building this.

For example, i am a veterinarian and i am doing the field in my area. The major issue i am facing now a day is of short time or wastage of time due to huge number of traffic.

It is true for those people who are are doing there remote jobs far away from there home town. These kind of people have to buy a home on rent to avoid these types of long distances. So, if there is the facilty of fast train they can easily travel to there home daily and it will be cost friendly for them.

Irrespective of this, if the government spent money on the public transport then it will useless in my point of view. Because it will cover the same distance in same time and there is no improvement in term of the condition discussed above.

Overall, i hve reached to this conclusion that goverment should pay heed on the development of new way to reduce time for long distance covered in minimum time with low cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear preference for very fast railways, and the examples about your work-related travel and remote workers are relevant to the topic. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the case for improving existing public transport is not genuinely explored: you dismiss it as “useless” without considering possible benefits such as better reliability, capacity, or access for daily commuters. Several supporting points are also unclear or insufficiently explained, including the claim that fast trains would let remote workers travel home daily. Develop each side with a reason and a specific example, then explain why your preferred investment is more persuasive. The response meets the stated length requirement; 17 words copied from the prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an opening position, supporting paragraphs, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. The examples are generally placed in separate paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the main points. However, progression is uneven because the discussion moves from national development to your veterinary work and then to remote workers without clearly linking these ideas. Connectors such as “For example,” “It is true,” and “Irrespective of this” are used, but some do not accurately show the relationship between the ideas; the final phrase introduces a contrast that is not developed. Repeated references to “this” also make some links vague. Use topic sentences and clearer transitions to build a more logical comparison of the two proposals.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “constructing new railway lines,” “public transport,” “long distances,” and “development,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main position. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “make a pace with rest of countries,” “cover long distance in no time,” and “the field in my area.” Spelling errors, including “golbal,” “gvernment,” and “facilty,” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the writing. Aim for precise transport and investment vocabulary, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general terms such as “money” and “time” with context-appropriate alternatives would also make the argument more specific.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea beginning “if there is the facilty of fast train” and a concluding sentence introduced by “Overall.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are incomplete or difficult to follow. For example, “As the world has becomes the golbal village through network or internet” is a fragment, while “People don't have enough time … because it took a long time” shifts tense inconsistently. There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “Today's generation love” and “if the government spent money … then it will useless.” Practise complete clauses, consistent tense, subject–verb agreement, and accurate conditional patterns. Proofread sentence boundaries and punctuation so that each idea is expressed in a clear, complete sentence.
