Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the era of todays modern world creating the facilities of transport are very important for connectivity.

There should be employed every possible way to improve that connectivity railways are very important and significant way of connectivity to improve the connectivity spending large sums of money on laying new railway lines are very useful thing to do

incurring huge amount of money on laying new railway lines improve connectivity were last mile of connectivity is possible were every citizen of the country can get access to transport

With the new network of railway it is possible that railways offer better and offerdable way of transportation to the comman man of the country

Spending vast resource of money on spreading newer railway lines brings large section of population to line of travel through railways

How ever there were section of people who argue that huge amount of money should have to spend on improving existing public transport rather than creating newer mode of transport by spending on existing public transport amount could be comes down gradually because the transport system have already been existed there should not gone arise problem for latge sum of money

By spending existing public transport the amount could be used for fewer more days for the maintenance of the facility

Spending large sums of money on existing public transport will be the much safer option rather than spending entirely on a new transport network

The opinion of the the section people are widely considerable because both are things to take into consideration

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first part supports building new railway lines, while the later part presents reasons to improve existing transport, including maintenance and safety. However, the discussion is only partially developed. Claims such as new railways providing “last mile” access and being affordable are asserted without a clear explanation or example, and the case for upgrading existing services is also brief. Your final sentence says both options deserve consideration, so your own position remains unclear rather than answering which approach you favour. State your view directly and support each side with specific consequences or a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is a recognisable movement from the case for new railways to the opposing view, and phrases such as “However” signal a change in direction. Nevertheless, the response lacks clear paragraphing and a consistent progression: several opening statements repeat the importance of connectivity, while the reasons are not grouped into a clear sequence. Connections between ideas are sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the long opening passage and the sentence beginning “How ever there were section of people.” Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your conclusion, and link each reason to its explanation. Avoid repeating “connectivity” and make the relationship between claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “public transport,” “maintenance,” and “transport network,” which helps keep the response relevant. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, especially “spending large sums of money” and “connectivity.” Some word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “offer better and offerdable way,” “brings large section of population to line of travel,” and “fewer more days.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Build a more precise range for discussing costs, access, capacity, and service quality, and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts some longer sentence forms, but control is weak and errors frequently affect clarity. For example, “spending large sums of money on laying new railway lines are very useful thing to do” has problems with agreement, articles, and sentence structure. In “the transport system have already been existed,” the verb form and agreement are incorrect, while “there should not gone arise problem” is difficult to interpret grammatically. Many ideas are joined without full stops or clear punctuation, creating run-on sentences. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
