Student answer (Band 6.0)

Transportation is one of the basic need for citizens who travel every day for thair work or study. One group of people believes that government should introduce new railway which connect large cities, while others think that it is batter to improve public transports which is already existed. Before my opinion, I would elaborate both argument in further paragraphs.

Among all reasons why new railway construction is important. the main one is that it reduces a travel time in between two cities. Train bypasses can skip passing directly through crowded central stations which gives fast traveling and eliminate reversal delays. Moreover, it improves supply chain. Bypass routes allow dedicated bulk cargo such as coal, cement, steek to travel directly from production centers, mines or ports to thermal plants and factories without urban delays.

In contrast, it also very importent to improves existing public transport because it is beneficial to local people. By improving stations and facilities in public vehical, netives get batter services and conveniancy in transportation. In addition, It also helpfull to decreases trafic congeion. In people find easy and updated public transports, they start traveling in that rather than privat cars. As a result, environment polution and numbers of vehicals on road decreases at an utmost level.

In my opinion, goverment should spent money on existing vehical because it gives both benefits economically and environmentally.

In conclusion, The new railve development can decreased time of traveling and grow easy goods transport. Whereas, By emproving existing public transport people and nature get advantage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear preference for improving existing transport: “government should spent money on existing vehical.” The discussion of new railways includes relevant benefits, especially reduced travel time and more direct freight movement, while the case for local transport links better services with less traffic and pollution. This covers the task, but the two sides are not developed equally: the railway paragraph gives specific mechanisms, whereas the public-transport argument relies on broad claims and does not include a concrete example. Your conclusion summarises the contrast, though it could explain more directly why your preferred investment should take priority. Develop that comparison with a specific city or practical example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, your opinion, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “In contrast,” “In my opinion,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the ideas within each main paragraph generally relate to its central point. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, a few links are awkward or unclear, particularly “Among all reasons why new railway construction is important. the main one is…” and “In people find easy and updated public transports…”. The separate opinion paragraph is also brief and could connect more explicitly to the preceding comparison. Use complete topic sentences and clearer links between cause and result.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-specific vocabulary, including “supply chain,” “bulk cargo,” “urban delays,” and “thermal plants,” which helps explain the railway argument. There is also an attempt to vary wording through phrases such as “bypass routes” and “dedicated” cargo. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision and sometimes make the reader pause: “steek,” “importent,” “congeion,” and “emproving” are examples. Several combinations are also unnatural, including “public vehical,” “at an utmost level,” and “grow easy goods transport.” The range is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, but accuracy and natural collocation are inconsistent. Check spelling carefully and learn common transport collocations as complete phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “public transports which is already existed” and a conditional structure in “If people find easy and updated public transports…”. The main ideas remain understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect fluency. For example, “one of the basic need” needs plural agreement, “it also very importent to improves” lacks a suitable verb structure, and “government should spent” uses the wrong verb form after “should.” The opening fragment “Among all reasons…” also needs to be joined to a complete sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and modal verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
