Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is ongoing debate in between people of some countries wheather it is compulsary to spend high amount of money on building new railway lines for very fast trains while other thing that this money should be spent on improving present public transport. i will discuss about both the views in upcoming paragraphs
first of all, according to the vies of some people that it necessary to spent large amount of money on constructing new railway lines, it is because if in future we get faster train as compae to new we can not face any type of difficulties to launch these trains in our country. we should be prepared for it , things should be arranged and goverment should manage railway lines according to new technology , faster trains we should definetly spent some amount of money on constructing new railway line lines for faster trains between cities.
on tjhe other hand, money should also be spent on improving the condition of exiting public tranports, according to some peaple , they think that it is not confirmed taht when the faster trains are going to launch in cities until the existing public transportaion's condition should be improved for better travelling of locals because until the faster trains are not going to run between cities public going to travell in local public transpots.
in conclusion, my opinion is taht we should spent money on constructing new railway lines, but also give importance to existing public transport's improvement both the things should be equally treated

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and state a position in the conclusion: you support building new lines while also giving importance to existing transport. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The case for high-speed rail is mainly that the country should be prepared for future technology, while the case for improving current services is that people rely on them until faster trains operate. These are relevant points, but neither is supported with a concrete example or fuller explanation of benefits and costs. Your position also appears only clearly in the conclusion, so the reader has limited guidance about your view earlier. Explain who benefits, why, and how the two spending priorities should be balanced to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “first of all,” “on the other hand,” and “in conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within the body paragraphs is less clear because several ideas are joined into long, repetitive sentences, and the first paragraph’s point about future readiness is difficult to follow. Some references, such as “these trains” and “both the things,” are not precise. Use shorter sentences to separate each reason and its explanation, and make links between ideas more specific—for example, explain how investment in existing services relates to the proposed new lines.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “public transport,” “faster trains,” and “technology,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “spend high amount of money,” “present public transport,” and “condition of exiting public tranports.” Frequent spelling errors—including “wheather,” “compulsary,” and “goverment”—also make the writing less fluent and can distract the reader. Aim for accurate collocations and vary repeated words: for instance, refer to “investment in high-speed rail” and “upgrading existing services.” Proofreading for spelling and choosing precise transport-related terms would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea beginning “if in future we get faster train” and a contrast introduced by “on the other hand.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to make some points difficult to follow. For example, “it necessary to spent” needs a complete clause and a correctly formed infinitive, while “public going to travell” lacks an appropriate subject construction. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly where full stops are missing between ideas. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “if.”
