Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You refer to both options—building fast railway lines and improving public transport—and mention concerns about waiting for trains and poor road conditions. However, the discussion does not clearly explain the benefits of either investment, and the points about train tracks being “not usefull” and transport being a “time savage technique” are difficult to interpret. Most importantly, you do not give a clear answer to which option you support, so the task’s request for your own opinion is not fulfilled. The response is also 55 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop reasons or provide a relevant example. State your position directly, explain both sides with specific reasons, and support your view with an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction and two body paragraphs, and phrases such as “From the one down side” and “From the other positive side” signal a change of viewpoint. However, the progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from train arrival times to track quality and then to other transport without clearly connecting these points. The second shifts from buses and taxis to road conditions and a moral duty to fund roads. Some linking expressions are awkward or do not show the relationship between ideas clearly. Use one paragraph for each view, begin with a clear main point, and connect each explanation and example directly to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “railway tracks,” “public transport,” “stations,” and “roads,” and you try to express evaluation with phrases such as “significant problem” and “betterment of our society.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unclear, which makes several ideas hard to understand. For example, “time savage technique” appears to mean a way to save time, while “some kinds of persons” is an unnatural way to introduce people’s views. There are also spelling errors such as “easiet,” “usefull,” and “unfortunaly.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “high-speed rail,” “improve existing services,” and “reduce journey times,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional idea beginning “if train arrives on the exact time.” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or incorrectly formed, and punctuation makes boundaries unclear. For example, “some people think that spending large amount of money can help railway tracks to construct it” has an unclear subject and verb pattern; “other think” also lacks agreement, and “their time had usually waste” has an incorrect verb form. Several sentences begin with “While” or “but” without being joined appropriately to the surrounding sentence. Practise forming complete subject–verb clauses, using consistent verb forms, and separating sentences with full stops. These changes will make your meaning easier to follow.
