Student answer (Band 4.0)
In number of countries , some people argue that necessary to spend large amount of money on build up new railway lines for very fast trains between cities while, others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport. In my opinion, i believe this is a positive things and this essay will explain why.
There are several reasons why i believe this trend is positive. firstly if the public transport are graw up smothly people they can spend their perticular life perfectly . for example, in village streets are to much poor most of the people sufffer for roads damage. if the raod are strong and stable villegars can move easily city to village. they can achieve all kinds of facilities are available. secondly village people they can take secure life.
However, some people argue that it is necessary to spend large amound of money to build new railway lines. because every kinds of facilities are not available here . they believe that town people are not as helpfull as the village people, despite this i still believe that the benefits outweigh this disadvantage.
in conclution, i firmly believe that constructing new railway line are negetive things mostly important improving exicting public transport to developed the roads to people can easily moved to city between village. villegers are so much suffer from roads damage so might be chance into renew the highway roads and several roads also improved there, however, trains are not essencial for every people but regular transport system are so more crucial for every types of peoples.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state an opinion in the introduction and conclusion, and you attempt to discuss both views. However, the response does not adequately address the central comparison: the first body paragraph focuses on village roads and road damage rather than explaining the case for high-speed railway lines, while the second gives little relevant support for building them. Your position also shifts: you initially call the trend positive, but conclude that new railway lines are negative and existing transport should be prioritised. Develop relevant reasons for each investment choice and explain your own preference consistently. The response contains 242 words, so it is 8 words below the required minimum; this also limits the space available to develop your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “firstly,” “However” and “in conclusion” helps show the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because ideas are loosely connected: the discussion moves from public transport to village roads, then to facilities and security without explaining the links. The contrast between the opening opinion and the conclusion also weakens the overall line of argument. Use each paragraph to develop one clear point, connect examples explicitly to that point, and make the conclusion restate the same position established in the introduction.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “public transport,” “railway lines,” “facilities” and “highway roads,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “public transport are graw up smothly,” “spend their perticular life perfectly” and “take secure life.” Spelling errors, including “conclution,” “negetive” and “villegers,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise transport-related language and check spelling carefully. For example, explain whether you mean improving the reliability or coverage of existing services, rather than using unclear phrases about people’s lives or security.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “if the public transport…” and a contrast introduced by “despite this.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors often make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “some people argue that necessary to spend,” which lacks a complete clause, “the public transport are,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect, and “constructing new railway line are,” where the subject and verb do not agree. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention. Practise building complete clauses with clear subjects and verbs, then check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
