Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many states, people argue that is necessary to spend lot of money on making new railway tracks for making easy tour in cities but opponents says that the money should be invest on improving local public transport. I think both projects are very significant for local public but mostly railway tracks need to improve.
When people were need to move one city to other trains help us to make easy their journy. People easily travel in trains without waste any time becuase train travel on their track and complete their journy without any problem like traffic. people easily carried out their necessary items because trains provide a special space for these items. Recently, I planed to went muree for spend my holidays. I bought ticket online and went to station at time and i put my bags in train cabein and enjoy enjoy compelet journey freeful.
On other hand, some people beleive the money should be spent on upgrading public transport. Local transport is best way to get around the city. Mostly people traveling whitin city on daily bases and public transport make it easy without waste any time. When people need to travel everywhere in city mostly people often use public transport because its very low budget as compare to private vehical and train expenses. I go daily to take class from wazirabad city and i use bike riding they pick and drop me in few time in very normal budget.
I think public transport are more than important as compare to train travel and we also need should spend more than money on public transport its very useful foe us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a position and refer to both options: the benefits of inter-city trains and the value of local public transport. The train paragraph gives reasons such as avoiding traffic and carrying luggage, while the local-transport paragraph mentions daily travel and lower cost. However, the discussion is uneven and the position is not fully consistent: the introduction says railway tracks “need to improve,” but the conclusion says public transport is more important. The personal examples about a planned trip and travelling to class are relevant, but they do not clearly explain the case for very fast trains or compare the wider benefits of the two investments. Develop each side with more specific reasoning and state one consistent opinion throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement, with an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two sides of the discussion. Basic linking phrases such as “On other hand” and “I think” also signal shifts in focus. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the train paragraph moves from general travel benefits to luggage and then to a personal holiday example without showing how each point supports investment in high-speed rail. Repeated references to “people” and “public transport” make the flow mechanical, and the conclusion introduces a position that conflicts with the introduction. Use clearer topic sentences, connect examples explicitly to claims, and make references and transitions more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “railway tracks,” “public transport,” “traffic,” “ticket,” and “budget.” There are also attempts to express comparison and purpose. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts difficult to understand, such as “easy tour in cities,” “train cabein,” and “journy freeful.” Spelling errors, including “becuase,” “beleive,” and “vehical,” are noticeable, while repeated words such as “people” and “journey” reduce variety. Aim for accurate transport collocations and check spelling; for example, distinguish “high-speed rail between cities” from “local public transport” and use “affordable” rather than “low budget” when describing cost.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “When people need to travel everywhere in city…” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but control is limited: complex attempts often contain several errors, and these sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “people argue that is necessary,” “opponents says,” “the money should be invest,” and “I planed to went.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, as in “public transport are more than important.” Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and use consistent verb patterns, such as “people argue that it is necessary” and “the money should be invested.”
