Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays in a number of countries, some individuals think it is compulsory to spend a huge amount of money on constructing new railway tracks for very fast trains among cities. While some population believe that the money should be spent on improving existing transport.Although in my opinion money should be spent on improving existing transportation is better as compare to investing on railway tracks.
One important reason for why people should think about improving existing transport is play a vital role in the daily life of citizens. Due to the fact that several individuals of country work in the city and they use public transport to reaching there working sight that's why they think that transportation system should be better as compare to improving railway tracks. For instance in Pakistan there are lack of difficulties for local citizens to travel through public transport and this effect on per capita income of country and. it's remain in developing process of economic struggles.
Moreover, the construction of railway tracks is more expensive as compare to improving public transport in spite of the railway system is occasionally used by the public but it has it importance for transportation of goods from one city to another city or country and it should play a key in the economic growth of country.
In conclusion,I'll agree with that the improving existing transport is better step and facility for local citizens of country Although trains transportation had its own key factors.Like safe and convenient less expensive tickets and good for long journey.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear preference for improving existing transport, especially in the introduction and conclusion, and you mention relevant points such as daily commuting, cost, and rail’s role in moving goods. However, the discussion of the two views is only partial: the case for high-speed rail is briefly acknowledged, but its benefits for passenger travel between cities are not explained, and several claims are unclear or unsupported. The Pakistan example is difficult to follow and does not clearly show how transport affects income or economic development. The response is also 5 words below the 250-word minimum; the 8 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each side with a specific reason and a relevant example, then explain how these support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help identify stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph moves from commuting to Pakistan’s transport difficulties and then to per-capita income without explaining the links. The second body paragraph combines cost, occasional public use and freight transport, leaving the main point unclear. Some linking phrases are also awkward or repetitive. Organise each paragraph around one central claim, explain it in a logical sequence, and use clear references to connect examples to that claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “constructing,” “public transport,” “railway tracks,” “economic growth” and “convenient,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main preference. The range is nevertheless limited, and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. Phrases such as “among cities,” “working sight,” “lack of difficulties” and “play a key” do not express the intended meanings naturally; “transportation” and “country” are also repeated frequently. These choices sometimes make the argument hard to understand, particularly in the Pakistan example. Build a more precise set of transport and economic terms, and check whether each phrase is idiomatic in context. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, but not yet consistently clear or flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a reason introduced by “Due to the fact that.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “some population believe” has an agreement problem, while “they use public transport to reaching there working sight” contains errors in verb form and sentence structure. The opening also joins contrasting clauses with a full stop missing after “cities,” and the final sentence fragment beginning “Like safe and convenient” is incomplete. Work on accurate clause boundaries, subject–verb agreement, articles and verb patterns before adding more complexity. Clearer, shorter sentences would help communicate your ideas reliably.
