IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The diagram illustrates that how the geothermal energy is utilize for generating electricity.
The cold water pumped down deep in earth then passed through geothermal zone where water is heated and then transffered to production well and reaches to condenser then convert into steam. Steam enters into turbine then in generator and produce electricity.
Firstly the cold water pumped down into earth for 4.5 km then injection wall push it to the thermal zone where hot rocks are presents and the water become hot due to high temprature. After it will tranfered to the production wall where water pumps upside. Heated water reaches through the condenser and the condensers covert hot water into steam by adding more. Steams enter through the turbine and revolves around the turbines the turbine push forward the steam toward generator. Generator and turbine produce electricity and then the generator put forward the produced electricity to tower and then the elecrticity will supply from one tower to other.
