IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram above shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Geothermal energy is used to produced electricity. Electricity is very necessary nowadays. In rural areas, there are still not facility available of electricity but In urban areas, there are almost everywhere facility available of electricity. Due to electricity, we are able to use fans, light, AC, heater etc. These are now essential things.
Firstly, cold water pumped down for 4.5km almost to the injection well and then it pass through geothermal zone which is hot rocks below the floor to the production well after that it hot water pumped upto the condenser powered by the steam to turbine and then generator where electricity produced and then finally, goes to the tower and transformer.
There electricity stores and then come in our houses switch board by the wires and we used it by turning on the switches.
In conclusion, we enjoyed by using the different items like home appliances .
