IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given diagram illustrates electricity production process using geothermal energy.

Overall, electricity generation is a multi stage process and includes various phases to generate an electricity. Initiating with cold water and ends with generator which spins using water steam.

To starts with, the stored cold water pumped down to the injection well which is located 4.5km beneath to the ground. After that , this water pass though the geothermal rocks which increase the water temperature and procced to the production well. Further this hot water pumped upwards to the Condenser.

Furthermore, Inside the condenser hot water take from of the steam that passthrough the turbine which spins a generator which later helps to generate an electricity. Lastly this produced electricity transfer for the further use via Electric towers.
