IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given man-made process chart represents the production of electricity using geothermal energy .

Overall it is clear that it consist of 5 steps to complete the process . Two commence with cold water and end with the production of electricity by generator.

The first step is a that cold water is pumped into the earth crust at the depth of 4.5 km . Which is followed by the injection of well the cold water comes in contact with hot Rock and water gets heated . Then the hot water is pumped come to the surface of Earth.

Moving ahead the next step is the condenser steam is transferred into the turbine . At the last step steam rotates the turbine and power is transferred to the generator after that generator produced energy . Then electricity is the used for different purposes . Then these step start from the initial stage.
