IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The process illustrates how electricity is made by geothermal power plant.

Overall, diagram consit approximately 5 stages, however if we see at whole process the cold water converted into hot and than pumped upward and lastly steam go toward grid station to make electricity.

In first step, cold water is store into a huge tank than water is pumped through a pipeline going down approximately 4500 meters, Afterward lower temperature h2o move in three differents injection well furthermore in third stage at the middle of ground hot rocks transform water into hot, again production well pumped hot water up.

In fourth stage hot water put into condenser shifts it to steam, moreover steam is rotated to built power in turbine which is than moved toward generator, whereas generator finally built electricity. When electricity is manufactured grid station will provide electricity to bus bar or electric pole.
