IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrate the process of creating electricity through geothermal energy.
First of all, the cold water is fell down at the distance of 4.5km and there is a injection well the pumped water passed from it. Down there is geothermal zone that contains of hot rocks. In this step the cold water turned in hot water. Furthermore there is a production well that pump the hot water towards Condenser.
The Condenser make steam and pass it to turbine that forced by the steam. There is a generator connected with the turbine at step 5 that gain powered by the turbine and produce electricity.
