IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The diagram illustrates how geothermal energy is used to produce

the process have complete 5 stages each stage perform the different functional program.

First Stages starts form the closed counter with the cold water later on the the cold water have been dumped down toward the downside nearly with the 4.5 kilo meters.

The Second stage starts after the completion of the first stage the cold water is given to the injection well passes will the geothermal zone (hot rocks ) this process is used to heat the water ,from one end the cold water goes in from other end we get the hot water .

In the third stage it used to collect the hot water from the geothermal zone the hot water pumped to the certain height of kilo meter.

In the fourth stage the hot water is collected in the condenser of the container where it has the pipe on the top to pass the steam from it ,this process known as turbine (which is powered by steam).

In the five stage the steam goes in the generator which is used to powered by turbine and produces the electricity,later on the electricity pass to the poles .
