IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given diagram depicts information about how geothermal engery is used to produce electricity.
To begin with, the first process is collect cold water in water container and after that cold water pumped down 4.5 km in the injection well. Furthermore, where it is flows in geothermal zone after this process water become hot and send to the production well where hot water pumped up.
Moreover, the stream from the hot water collect in condenser chamber. Steam send to the turbine because it is powered by steam and after that turbine give power to generator because it is powered by turbine and produces electricity. In the last process generator produces electricity which is send to the electricity pole and it is send electricity in urban and rural area for people.
Overall, there are five stages to generate electricity with geothermal power plant. The main source of the process is water.
