IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given process chart illustrate the information regrading how produce electricity by the use of geothermal power plant.
Overall, it is clear that it contains simple steps, start with converting the cold water into steam and then generat into electricity.
To start with, the tank of cold water above the ground attached with a piping system pumped the water 4.5 km underground . After that, the injection well through the geothermal zone where the water get hot rocks and convert into hot water from cold.
Moving toward, the production well pumped the hot water to up side. Then the hot water condenser into steam. In last step, the steam pass throw a generator turbine where the powered by steam produce the energy to anthor were the powered by turbine work and produce electricity. After that, the electricity is ready to pass through a transform and usedfor diffrent kind of work.
