IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The Diagram illustarates how electricity produce from the use of geothermal energy.
Overall, the process consists of five stages begining with cold water and ending to powered by turbine and produces the electricity.
Initially the cold water pumped down upto 4.5 km then goes through the injection well afterwards it's pass by the hot rocks which is called geothermal zone it converts cold water into hot water after that this hot water goes into the production well which pumped up the hot water straight into the condenser at stage three.
In the the fourth stage the condenser condense the hot water and its becomes into steam in result turbine powered by steam which is at the last stage. In the final stage turbine and generator connected together. Whether the turbine spinned beacause powered by steam while turbine and generator works in directly proportion. Which means generator also spinned by the power of turbine which produces the electricity.
