The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given diagram illustrates the process of generating electricity at a geothermal power plant using natural thermal energy. Overall, the production comprises a multi-stage system, beginning with subterranean water injection and culminating in the delivery of electricity to the power grid.Initially, cold water is pumped 4.5 km underground into an injection well. As this liquid filters through the geothermal zone, it absorbs heat from the surrounding hot rocks. The superheated water is subsequently forced up to the surface via a production well and directed into a condenser.Above ground, the condenser converts the hot water into steam, which is then channeled into the turbine chamber. The high-pressure steam powers the turbine, setting its blades into motion, which in turn drives the adjacent generator to produce electricity. Finally, the generated electrical energy is transferred out to grid pylons, delivering power directly to residential and commercial properties.
