The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrates that how geothermal power plant is create electricity.
Overall, cold water pumed down and then hot water pump up in the condenser. After that, stream rotate the turbine, and turbine start the generator also that the generator produced electricity. the electricity store the electric grid.
In the beginning, cold water pumped down to the earth in 4.5km. It then the injection well lose water in the geothermal zone under the hot rocks. The hot water going through the production well and production well produce hot water in to the container. In the container hot water pumped up into the condenser.
Furthermore, in the condenser hot water convert into the steam, afer that the turbine rotate and powered by steam. In addition, the electric generator start through the turbine and then produce electricity. And then finally, the electricity can be stored in the electric grid for using household electric goods.
