Student answer (Band 5.5)

People have different aspects and beliefs regarding when the topic is about children. They wanted that there child should given the opportunity of doing there things by there own. On the other hand large group of people also beliefs that they have the responsibility of there children until they are grown up.

according to my perspective if i children should given all the choices to be full this make them individual in there society so the children should not given enough open hands. which result them that they only thinks about there own self not about other such as there family members.

The large group of people also beliefs that children should given open choices what they want because they thinks that children should have the proper adjective to have what they want. The food they want this should be given to them, what kind of entertainment they want they should be given open hands they can have it.

This will result in society individuals create a society which is only looking for themself only. The only thing is to be noted when a person only wanted that there wishes should be full make a very bad impact in society the real meaning of society will be end.

Great quote ;

family is known by the members living in it.

The people which not able to make realize there children that how much the family is very important for them always suffer. There are lot of examples in our daily life which creates great lesson for us such as Rich kids always get separated because there needs are full when the need are taken they become individual

The children should taught what is important for them and what they need more. By this the word individual will become to end there decision will get more accurate.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. The student attempts to present a position, but the reasoning is frequently obscured by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. For example, the argument that children should not have 'open hands' is mentioned, but the explanation of why this leads to a 'bad impact' is underdeveloped and lacks specific, logical support. The essay touches on the prompt's requirements, but the lack of clarity in expressing complex ideas prevents a higher score. To improve, the student should focus on clearly stating their opinion in the introduction and providing structured, logical arguments in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is weak. The transition between sentences is often disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as the abrupt transition 'Great quote ;'. Referencing is also problematic; for instance, the use of 'there' instead of 'their' and the unclear antecedents for pronouns make the text confusing. While there is an attempt at an overall structure, the lack of effective linking words and the repetitive nature of the arguments hinder the flow of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'there' used instead of 'their', 'beliefs' used instead of 'believe', and 'adjective' used incorrectly in place of 'autonomy' or 'freedom'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. The student relies on basic, everyday language, and the misuse of words often impedes the reader's understanding of the intended meaning. To reach a higher band, the student needs to expand their vocabulary and focus on using words in the correct context and with accurate spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that significantly affect readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'large group of people also beliefs'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'children should given'), and misuse of pronouns (e.g., 'there' for 'their'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty and unclear. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces and misuse of semicolons. These errors occur throughout the text and frequently cause difficulty for the reader, which is characteristic of a Band 5 level.
