Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people ask that allowing children to make their own daily life decisions like food, buying something or entertainment and many more in results they think about their own wishes. Some people against this.
To begin with, many people thought that to give a free hand to children is harmful for our society although this nature creates the children thinking about fulfill our needs like they want to eat excessive amount of fast food that is very harmful in the long term way. Likely they want to buy more and clothes even they don't have the need. Likely, spent more amount in entertainment sector like buying more expensive toys like PS5. Similarly, this habit makes them spendthrift person at the early age.
On the other hand, some individuals believe that this habit enhance the self decision technique of child at the early age. After long time, this will help them for their daily practical life or also helps in future related decisions. In my opinion, i am strongly agree with this notion like it very helpful for the individual to face the daily life hurdles they have the grip on that at the early age. Furthermore, decision making habit at the childhood alleviates many issue in the practical life. Additionally, at the ancient time its a convention method of give a free hand to their children at the initial age that can beneficial in their whole life.
In Conclusion, my father gives me a free hand in my childhood as a result i face any hurdle related to my daily life i fully handled without any individuals help

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that allowing choices can lead to selfishness or poor habits, the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. Similarly, the argument for autonomy is supported by personal experience, but the reasoning remains quite general. To improve, ensure that each point is fully extended with specific, logical consequences rather than just listing examples like 'fast food' or 'PS5'. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and focuses more on a personal anecdote than summarizing the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the use of 'Likely' at the start of sentences is incorrect and does not serve as a logical transition. Furthermore, the progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult to follow the flow of the argument. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between the two viewpoints could be smoother. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'give a free hand' and 'daily life decisions' repeatedly. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'ancient time' (should be 'in the past') and 'convention method' (should be 'conventional method'). Some expressions are slightly unnatural, which occasionally hinders the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in the correct context, rather than relying on repetitive, informal phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'my father gives' instead of 'gave'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. For instance, 'i am strongly agree' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'I strongly agree'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and article usage.
