Student answer (Band 5.5)
SOME INDIVIDUAL THOUGHTS THAT BY GIVING FREEDOMS TO KIDS TO TAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS ON WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO ON DAILY BASIS MEANS NO ANY RESTRICTION ABOUT THEIR STUDY, PLAYING AND FOOD ARE MAKING THEM A SELFISH WHICH ARE LIVING ONLY FOR FULFILL THEIR OWN NEEDS , WHEREAS SOME BELIEVES THAT CHILDREN HAVE ALLOWED ONLY THOSE CHOICES WHICH ARE MORE AFFECTING IT PERSONALLY. THIS ESSAY WILL ELABORATE BOTH THE VIEWS WITH MY OWN OPINION IN FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS.
TO COMMENCE WITH, ACCORDING TO SOME PEOPLE WHILE NO ANY RESTRICTION ON CHOICES CAN MAKE CHILDS TO SELF CONCERNED IN FUTURE BECAUSE BEFORE THAT AGE THEY GOT ALL THE THINGS AND NO FACE ANY INTERFERENCE ON DOING STUDY OR ENTERTAINMENT SO THEY NOT THINKS ABOUT THEIR PARENTS THINKS AND FINANCIAL CONDITIONS. MOREOVER IT CAN LEAD TO MISUNDERSTANDING IN CHILD-PARENT RELATION AND CREATES BOUNDARIES OR FIGHTING. FOR INSTANCE, CHILD WHO NEVER LISTENING A NO ON THEIR DECISION CAN MAKE THEM STUBBORN AND THEY NO LONGER LIVE WITHOUT THEM.
ON OTHER SIDE, FEW INDIVIDUALS ARE IN FAVOUR OF ONLY ALLOW TO CHOOSE THOSE THING WHICH IS HIGHLY IMPACT ON THEIR FUTURE SUCH AS ALLOWING TO THEIR FAVOURITE STREAM ON STUDY AND CARRIER BECAUSE OF THIS THEY CAN LEARN RIGHT OF CHOICE AND WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR DECISION. FURTHERMORE , IN THE FUTURE IT CAN HELPS TO LEARN PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILL AND TAKE IMPORTANT HIGH RISK DECISION. FOR INSTANCE, AFTER A STUDY SOME PEOPLE ARE CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT TO DO SO AT THAT TIME THIS SKILLS PLACE IMPORTANT PART WHICH IS BEST THING CARRIER OPTION FOR DOING JOB OR BUSINESS.
IN CONCLUSION, SOME PEOPLE THINKS THAT GIVING CHILDREN TO FREEDOM MAKE THEM SELFISH. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT ONLY ALLOWING IMPORTTANT DECISION MAKE THEM IMDIPENDENT.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding selfishness is mentioned but not fully explored with nuanced examples. The essay covers the requirements of the prompt, but the explanation of how decision-making skills translate into adulthood is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more specific, logical examples rather than repeating the same concepts in different words.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'before that age they got all the things', where the antecedent is vague. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'no any restriction' instead of 'no restrictions' and 'self concerned' instead of 'self-centered'. You also rely on basic vocabulary like 'things' and 'good/best'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and synonyms to express your ideas more effectively and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('some believes', 'child who never listening'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or contain errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding, such as 'no any restriction about their study... are making them a selfish'. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
