Student answer (Band 5.0)
according to my perspective, providing the facilities to the children may impact them in numerous matter. regardless of their knowledge, they will feel free to achieve whatever they prefer. eventually they will be exposed toward the matter which may impact or harm their life. For examples, if the children are given free permission in case of food subsequently they will prefer junk foods over healthy ones and eventually the junk foods such as ice-cream and as children are attracted towards chocolate they would prefer chocolate rather than healthy foods.in this case, freedom supplying to children may affect. due to globally recognized world the children pursue chamelion effect where they wanna mimic other people life style regarding to clothes and entertainment. therefore, it is argued that the children will eventually pursue their own wishes if they are provided with their own decision.
in contrast, it is crucial for children to mend their own thoughts. if they were left free to express their decisions then they will be emotionally stable. eventually surpassing all those mental activities they will be engaged more towards expressing what they feel. exposing their own decision will make them choose the right path for them and also it helps them in burgeoning towards their life. rather than implying on other decision or depending about what other people will decide they would start maintaining their critical thinking which also makes their mind sharp. for instance, if the children are given full authority about their own matter then with knowing the fact that it was their own decision they willnot be able to point out others or they wont be blaming others. therefore the children must have full authority for their decision.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the task. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding 'junk food' is a bit simplistic, and the discussion on 'emotional stability' in the second paragraph lacks depth or concrete examples. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The essay stays on topic throughout, but the reasoning remains at a surface level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into two main paragraphs, which is appropriate. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'eventually' are overused, and some transitions, such as 'in this case, freedom supplying to children may affect', are awkward and do not clearly link the preceding ideas to the conclusion. The progression of ideas is sometimes difficult to follow due to these issues with referencing and logical flow. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the sophisticated linking required for a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices or non-standard collocations, such as 'freedom supplying to children', 'mend their own thoughts', and 'burgeoning towards their life'. The student attempts to use some more complex vocabulary like 'chameleon effect', but it is used incorrectly in context. The range is sufficient to convey the basic meaning, but the frequent inaccuracies in word choice prevent the response from achieving a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'children... willnot be able'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'regarding to clothes'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing spaces after periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction limits the score to the 5.0-5.5 range.
