Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that allowing choices fosters independence, the explanation remains superficial. Similarly, the counter-argument regarding negative influences is relevant but lacks specific, well-developed examples to fully support the points made. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by a detailed explanation and a concrete example, rather than just listing general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To commence with' and 'An my opinion'. Some transitions between sentences feel abrupt, and the logical flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the connection between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a more cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of non-standard word choices or spelling errors, such as 'few masses' (likely meaning 'some people'), 'achuthes' (activities), 'providiy' (providing), and 'permissiory' (permission). These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and academic vocabulary related to parenting and child development. Avoid using informal or invented words, and proofread carefully to correct spelling mistakes that detract from the professional tone of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('everyone have rights'), article usage ('future of nation'), and awkward sentence construction ('choosing of bad circle can cause a whole life of child'). While the meaning is generally conveyed, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and punctuation limits the clarity of your expression. To improve, practice using a mix of complex sentence structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, and focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
