Student answer (Band 5.0)
Individuals believe that allowing children they own handle our problems in our daily live routine is big mistake because next generation just think their own wishes, while people say it is important for children to make their own choices that help them to improve their decision making skill.
First of all, people who say choices on every they matters to result in society who only think his own because they do lot of mistakes and whenever the old person or experienced person not tell about something or guide than children make mistakes constantly and some children stubborn and mostly avoid things which help them to feel that act right or wrong. For instance, children choices in food than chances they eat just fast food or which has disadvantages and avoid all organic foods which eat our daily lives and they provide them fiber, protein and lot of other minerals who protect us from horrible bacteria and other kind of things.
Other side, people say it is beneficial for children to make their own choices in everyday matters because if children do all these things to their own choice than they made responsible, moreover they make mistakes and than learn these kind of strategy make children very smart and slowly they goes to perfection. The main thing is they are decision makers they make a decision in any problem of their life and they have capability to compete them.
In conclusion, both sides have solid reason and in my opinion, children do lot of mistakes but if they learn than they are good.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student's response addresses both views as required by the task, discussing the negative impact of letting children make their own choices and the potential benefits of such independence. However, the discussion lacks depth and coherence, as some points are repeated or unclear. For example, the phrases "children make mistakes constantly" and "they do lot of mistakes but if they learn than they are good" could be more developed. A clearer, more detailed examination of each viewpoint would improve task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The coherence of the essay is affected by poorly structured sentences and some illogical connections. For instance, the transition between the first and second paragraphs is abrupt, as it lacks clear linking words or phrases. Additionally, there are several points where the ideas do not flow logically, leading to confusion. For example, the sentence discussing food choices blends different ideas without clear separation. Improving logical flow and using appropriate cohesive devices would enhance the coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The response employs a limited range of vocabulary, which impacts the overall effectiveness of the argument. Phrases such as "big mistake" and "he don’t think his own" sound informal and detract from the academic tone. Additionally, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, like "solve our problems in our daily live routine." A more varied lexical resource would strengthen the writing and clarity of the points being made.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
Grammatical errors are quite frequent and sometimes impede communication, such as "allowing children they own handle our problems" and "they eat just fast food or which has disadvantages." There are issues with subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and incorrect preposition usage. Occasional correct complex sentences are present, but overall, a greater variety of grammatical structures is needed, as well as fewer errors, to achieve a higher band score.
Overall feedback
The essay presents a relevant discussion of both sides of the prompt, which demonstrates the ability to engage with the topic. However, to enhance the overall quality, focus on improving clarity in expressing ideas, making stronger connections between sentences, and expanding your vocabulary. Aim to structure your arguments more logically by fully developing points with examples and clear explanations. Additionally, pay attention to grammatical accuracy and consider using a wider range of sentence structures. Practice more complex grammatical forms and consider alternative phrases to elevate your writing further.
