This essay will discuss both views and explain why i believe children should be given some freedom while receiving appropriate parental guidance.
on the one hand, allowing children to make their own decision can help them become independent and responsible. when children choose their clothes, food or entertainment , they learn to understand their preferences and accept the consequences of their choices. for example, a child who is allowed to choose between healthy foods may gradually develop better eating habits. moreover, making small decisions from an

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which prevents the full development of ideas. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which means the task is not fully addressed. While the ideas presented are relevant, the lack of length and the unfinished nature of the response limit the depth of the discussion. To improve, ensure you fully develop your arguments with more detailed examples and complete your conclusion to meet the word count requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction and body paragraphs using transition signals like 'on the one hand' and 'moreover'. However, the abrupt ending due to the incomplete conclusion disrupts the overall flow and coherence of the piece. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a finished structure makes the progression of ideas feel truncated. To reach a higher band, ensure all paragraphs are fully developed and that the essay concludes in a cohesive manner that summarises the main points effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, using terms like 'independent', 'consequences', and 'reasonable boundaries'. There are some minor errors, such as 'every day' (should be 'everyday' as an adjective) and 'In may opinion' (typo). The range is sufficient to convey meaning but lacks the sophistication or less common lexical items required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and ensure consistent spelling and word-choice accuracy throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several punctuation and capitalization errors, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('on the one hand', 'when children') and missing commas. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall control of grammar. To improve, pay closer attention to sentence-level mechanics, such as capitalization, and aim to use a wider variety of complex grammatical structures with greater accuracy.
