Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individual assume that letting children make their own selections on everyday matters is possible to result in a community of citizens who only maintain their own wishes. Other people consider that it is beneficial for children to make choices about concerns that effect them. Consideration of human choice is absolutely important and it has a great impact on society as well. This essay will discuss both perspective in detail before presenting my own opinion.
As some people think that minors adapt thinks more quickly, if they become used of doing their own and consider their own choices whether if they are good or bad and stop listening to their elder they will behave naturally stubborn as a result when they grew they do the same thing . For instance , if a kid watch something that is improbable and don't listen to their elders it will have negative impact on him.
On the other hand , letting children make their own decisions matter because it will make them more confident and help them to make them more creative , adaptable and ambitious. Foe instance , parent cant be with you all the time if children lacks in making decision he will looks at others which may not be good for him and he might feel confused al the time .
In my opinion both have significant importance in their own way because making own choices is very crucial in this world but think that you are right all the time may have a detrimental result in your life .
In conclusion , while both viewpoint have reasonable arguments. I believe that teaches children how to be flexible according to the environment is more important rather the thinking from just one point of view .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding the negative impact of autonomy are vague, and the examples provided (such as 'if a kid watch something that is improbable') lack clarity and logical depth. While the position is clear, the supporting points are not fully extended, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, you should focus on providing more concrete, well-reasoned examples that directly support your claims about child development and societal impact.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'On the other hand' and 'In conclusion,' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'Consideration of human choice is absolutely important' in the introduction, which feels disconnected from the preceding sentences. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'if they become used of doing their own,' where the pronoun reference is ambiguous. Improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'minors adapt thinks' (likely meant 'things') and 'behave naturally stubborn.' Some phrases are repetitive, and the use of 'improbable' in the context of children watching content is imprecise. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or varied vocabulary limits the score. Expanding your range to include more academic collocations and precise terminology would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('parent cant be with you'), incorrect verb forms ('if children lacks'), and punctuation errors, particularly with comma placement. There are also issues with word order and sentence construction, such as 'whether if they are good or bad.' While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would lead to significant improvement.
