Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that it is good for children to allowing them to make their own decision and some think it is important to having eyes on child all the time and take their decision.
However, It is vey beneficial for kids if parents also respect their opinion. Growing bodies need freedom to explore world and experience different challenges. Child feel very demotivated when all the decision take by their gaurdians. They want a free life they want to chose their clothes and their hobbies. Kid chose their own things is very good for them in their future. It help them to built confidence. One of my cousin is independent in their young age mean his parents respect his choice now he become a successful buissnessman and very confident person.
While, If all the decision are given to child it may have very bad impact because children do not know how world work they do not face up and down. If they do not take their parents advice they have to face a huge problem in their life. I personally observe the growing kids who do not obey their parents they start taking drugs and failed in life.
In my perception, I think parent should allow their children to take their desicion to built confident but do not allow them to choose big things becuase they do not have experience of world they need some supervision.
In conclusion, Parents should allow their child to choose whatever they want and also observe their activity to save them form big problems.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding the negative impact of total freedom is supported by a rather extreme and anecdotal example about drug use, which lacks nuance. While the prompt is addressed, the explanation of why children need to make decisions is underdeveloped. To improve, you should focus on expanding your reasoning with more logical, academic justifications rather than relying on personal anecdotes or generalizations. The conclusion is present but could be more effectively linked to the main body arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, the transition 'While, If all the decision...' is grammatically incorrect and awkward. Referencing is also inconsistent; the use of pronouns like 'they' and 'their' is sometimes ambiguous, making it difficult to track whether you are referring to parents or children. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') and ensure that your pronouns clearly refer back to their intended nouns.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'things'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'gaurdians', 'buissnessman', and 'desicion', which detract from the professional tone of the essay. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. To reach a higher band, you should work on expanding your vocabulary to include more academic collocations and synonyms, and pay closer attention to the spelling of common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Child feel', 'Kid chose their own things is'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at complex structures often result in errors, such as 'Some people believe that it is good for children to allowing them to make their own decision'. The punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that verb forms are used correctly after prepositions and infinitives.
