Student answer (Band 5.0)
While, there is ongoing debate obout for younger decesion making that people argue that they ought to make their own decesion whilst, other individuals are disagree with this statement, i believe that making own decesion on various thing it develop confident and leadreship skills while, some case they have take advice from their senior bacause they can guide better way for their career.
First prior cause of my agreement is that, if children want to increase some skills so they need their own thought process which allow them to bacame independante. To elaborate it, some decesion such as, food, clothes and some other activities are daily need for every children if they allow to make their own like which type of food they want it so allow them to make and which types of clothes they wanted to wear which develop their thinking style after that they can able to solve every basic problem related to their daily life routine. Thus, can also benificial for their future when they leave alone so they do not need to be dependent. However, they need to take their parents opinon as well.
Furthermore, from my perspective basic decesion should be taken by younger however, other major decesion such as marriege related, job related, career or may be if they wanted to go abrode for study for that they have to take advise from their parents or collegese , because they have experience and experties so they can guide children and give proper guidence regarding above matters. For intanse, my friend recently shift canada so he was very confused to select university so he took advise from his professor and he suggest better option thats how he easily overcome his isse.
In conclusion, I believe that making some own decesion are play significant role to develop children confident and make them independent however, in some case they should be depended on their parents and senior people which are helpful to give guidence and advice.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that allowing children to make choices creates a self-centered society versus the importance of children making decisions about matters affecting them—and presents a clear personal position. The ideas are extended and supported, such as when the student explains how choosing food and clothes builds critical thinking skills and independence. However, there is a tendency to over-generalize and some arguments, particularly around seeking parental advice for major decisions, are somewhat repetitive. The position is maintained throughout the essay. Therefore, the response aligns well with the Band 6 descriptor for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing used to separate the introduction, the two body paragraphs discussing different aspects of the prompt, and the conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The student relies heavily on awkward conjunctions and transitional phrases like 'Whilst, there is ongoing debate', 'First prior cause', and 'To elaborate it', which feel unnatural and impede smooth progression. Referencing and pronoun use are also unclear in places, such as in the opening sentence. These issues place the response firmly in Band 5, as the organisation is visible and logical progression exists, but cohesive devices are often inaccurate and intrusive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'independent', 'significant role', and 'expertise'. However, there are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'obout', 'decesion', 'ledership', 'bacame', 'benificial', 'abrode', 'marriege', 'intanse', and 'isse'. These errors, combined with noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies such as 'first prior cause' and 'depend on parents and senior people', cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band. The lexical control is characteristic of a Band 5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating clauses with 'such as', 'if', and 'because'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on fragments or heavily comma-spliced, such as 'To elaborate it, some decesion such as, food, clothes and some other activities are daily need for every children if they allow to make their own...' These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and restrict the range of error-free sentences, matching the Band 5 descriptors.
