Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a considerable debate on children's authority on decision making in their life. Some individuals argue that it is beneficial for children to make choices in their own life, while some suggest that it will result in selfish people. In my opinion, i partially agree with both opinions.
The proponents against the recommendation of leverage given to children in their life recommend, that younger generation will become selfish. Nonetheless, from my perspective, it is opposite because decision making help children in increasing their self esteem and confidence. It leads to a more self-groomed child, who can make critical decisions in his upcoming life without anyone 's assistance.
leverage without any check and balance will
While, in some people opinion, it totally different, they assume that it is their right to make decisions in thier life. It is true that children make some critical decisions of their life, but not every decisions. One wrong desicion will ruin their whole life, also it will result in children turning against their parents decisions, even if their gurdians are helping them. too much leverage will eventually spoil their future career.
In conclusion, it is important to leave few decisions on children not their whole life, also with all leverage it is important to have involvement in children's life , because this will keep to keep an eye on your child's life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both views regarding children making their own choices and provides a personal opinion, satisfying the core prompts of the task. However, the student's text contains only 227 words, failing to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words. As a direct consequence of this under-length condition, the task response is necessarily penalized and restricted in its overall development. The ideas presented, such as the relationship between decision-making and self-esteem or the dangers of lack of parental guidance, are relevant but remain somewhat under-developed due to the constrained length and disjointed flow. A clear position is stated in the introduction, but the conclusion and body paragraphs struggle to fully extend the arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay displays basic organizational structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but overall coherence is severely hindered by problematic paragraphing and fragmented text. There is an incomplete and orphaned sentence fragment ('leverage without any check and balance will') that disrupts the logical flow. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and sometimes inaccurately, such as the abrupt transition 'While, in some people opinion, it totally different'. Paragraphing is used insufficiently, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear, leading to a lack of smooth progression throughout the essay. Referencing and logical sequencing need substantial improvement to achieve a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a limited and minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. Words and phrases like 'considerable debate', 'self-esteem', and 'future career' show an attempt to use appropriate topic-related terms. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, awkward phrasing ('leverage given to children', 'in their upcoming life', 'gurdians'), and repetitive use of words such as 'leverage', 'decisions', and 'life'. Spelling errors like 'desicion' and 'gurdians' also occur. While communication is generally maintained despite these flaws, the frequent word-choice inaccuracies and restricted vocabulary breadth limit the score in this category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures frequently result in grammatical errors. Examples include capitalization issues ('i partially agree'), incorrect subject-verb agreement or article usage ('decision making help', 'in some people opinion'), and punctuation mistakes. Furthermore, there are incomplete sentences and awkward syntactic structures that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Although the student demonstrates some control over basic structures, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies across the text prevents the score from reaching the Band 6 level.
