Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views and stating a position in the introduction ('I am with the favour of former veiw'). However, the development of ideas is limited and at times confusing due to expression issues. For instance, the text claims that children learning to make choices leads to a society of selfish individuals, but the elaboration focuses primarily on money management ('they learn value of money and also learn that how money are earn in life'). The arguments regarding bad company and fast food are somewhat disjointed and repetitive. While all parts of the task are touched upon, the reasoning is underdeveloped and occasionally lacks clarity, aligning best with a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is organised into four paragraphs, including an introduction and conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak cohesive ties ('To begin with', 'To elaborate it', 'Furthermore'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'choices have fully freedom to choices thier needs'. Paragraphing is present, but the internal logical flow within paragraphs is frequently disrupted by grammatical breakdowns, making it difficult for the reader to follow the train of thought. This level of organisation and cohesion corresponds to a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with numerous spelling errors ('veiw', 'benificial', 'thier', 'sitution', 'ad company', 'evryday'). The writer attempts some less common phrases like 'contemporary era', but these are overshadowed by frequent word-choice and collocation inaccuracies, such as 'money are earn', 'gave lot of money', and 'live in control'. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, but vocabulary limitations and persistent spelling mistakes frequently cause strain for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and faultily constructed complex sentences. There are frequent, noticeable grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense errors, missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'children to make their own choices... is like to result', 'how money are earn', 'parents should gave money... which children live'). Punctuation is also problematic with unnecessary comma splices. Because errors are frequent and occasionally obscure the meaning, the performance falls under Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 for overall comprehensibility.
