Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern world, everyday maatters of children has grabbed attention. Some members of the society thinks that allowing children to make their own decisions on daily basis like food, clothes, and entertainment while the other people believe that it is necessary for teenagers to make their own choices about matters. Overall, in this essay, will discuss both perceptions.
Firstly, people believe that those children who decide their routine matters are likely selfish. This is because Gen Z who developed themselves that are allergic to meaningless work, so they are not lazy. However, they have strong will power to choose things more easily. In Pakistan, people become selfish with their peace, with time beacuse they knows that at the end of the day they are the only ones.
Secondly, other individuals think that it is needed for children to make only those decisions that affect them. It is because kids should rely on their parents so they can easily discriminate the right and the wrong. In rural areas, while deciding the matters they took advice from their parents then they can take right decision for themselves. As for as i am concerned i am also keep my parents in that matters while having the biggest decision in my life.
To conclude, parents should treat their children in a good way so they can share each things with their family. In my opinion, i strongly believe that children should manage theri matters own their own but with the opinion of the family would also matter along this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether children should make everyday decisions and provides the writer's own opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear. For instance, the discussion on Generation Z being 'allergic to meaningless work' in the first body paragraph feels disconnected from the prompt about selfish individuals. The position is stated in the introduction and conclusion, but the supporting arguments lack depth and clarity. To reach a higher band, the ideas need to be more fully elaborated with more coherent reasoning rather than vague generalisations and tangential claims.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which shows an attempt at overall organisation. However, the progression of ideas lacks logical flow and coherence. Transitional phrases like 'Firstly' and 'Secondly' are used, but the internal connections between sentences are often strained. For example, the shift between sentences in the second paragraph ('In Pakistan, people become selfish...') lacks clear cohesive ties. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes ambiguous, making it difficult to follow the writer's argument. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structuring of paragraphs requires significant improvement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate to convey basic meaning, but it features noticeable limitations and errors. There are frequent spelling mistakes such as 'maatters', 'beacuse', 'knows', 'theri', and 'own their own' instead of 'on their own'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying heavily on basic terms and repetitive phrases like 'make their own decisions' and 'everyday matters'. While the writer attempts some less common phrasing, inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'take advice from their parents then they can take right decision', impede the overall precision of the communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak, with frequent errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are notable grammatical mistakes, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'Some members of the society thinks' and 'family would also matter', as well as awkward phrasing such as 'As for as i am concerned i am also keep my parents'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, and capitalization errors occur throughout the text. These frequent errors restrict the response to a Band 5 level, as error-free sentences are the exception rather than the majority.
