Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both views outlined in the prompt and clearly states the writer's position in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on how choosing clothes and food builds workplace grading skills is tenuous and under-developed. While the main ideas are relevant—such as fostering self-esteem and decision-making skills—they lack sufficient depth and specific elaboration. The conclusion merely restates the prompt and position without adding synthesis. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.5, as it addresses all parts of the task but presents ideas that are occasionally limited or insufficiently extended.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, providing a basic structural framework, but overall progression is hindered by poor paragraphing conventions and mechanics. Sentences often run together without proper spacing after punctuation marks, as seen in 'In my view ,young generation should be allowed...' and '...accoding to taste,For instance...'. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'Furthermore,it is virtall to make decisions...'). The referencing of ideas is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical issues distract the reader and disrupt the flow of information. Overall, the organizational structure meets the requirements for a Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, with numerous spelling and word-form errors that strain the reader. Examples include 'aldolescents', 'thier', 'intrests', 'inmatters', 'confertable', 'clothe' (instead of clothes), 'confidenced', 'virtall', 'counrty', 'mimimises', 'crimal', 'trustworth', and 'societry'. While the student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'collaboration', 'self-esteem', and 'financial constraints', the high frequency of spelling mistakes and lexical inaccuracies (e.g., using 'confidenced' instead of confident) restricts the score to Band 5.0, where noticeable errors cause some difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is quite low. There are frequent errors in punctuation, missing spaces, subject-verb agreement, and article usage throughout the text. Examples include missing commas or spaces after periods, 'singing as entertainment as made' (has made), and 'who knows' instead of 'who know'. Complex sentences are often faulty or awkward, and punctuation is frequently mishandled. Because these errors occur with high frequency and occasionally impede smooth reading, the grammar profile aligns with Band 5.0.
