Student answer (Band 4.5)

In recent years, the issue of children to make the decisions own responsibilities has become a matter of considrable disscussion. While some people believe that, the children make their own choices, other argue that when the children make decisions of matter that affect them in their life.

To begin with, one of the main reasons for this is that when some families are allowing children to make and complete their own choices on everyday matters to face in the society (such as food, clothes and enjoyable moment that to enjoy herself with entertainment) is to the finalised in the society of individuals who only think about their own dreams. This is because when children make all responsible for every matter to decide it when thay cool for decisions. As a result, that normal situation to harder situation handled it. Therefore, this point clearly shows everyone has to choices to make decision own.

Furthermore, another important aspect is that some people believe that it is very significant for youngsters to make determinations about the affairs that affect them.In other words, when offsprings make decisions in their issues than the main aspects to hide up in life. A good examplr of this can be seen in societies when kids are also allowed to make decision.

In conclution, although there are different opinions regarding allowing children to make their own decisions for different matters, I firmly believe that when all families allowed to children for make choices in their own ending side than they all are very crutial for them. This is mainly because of dream up the wishes and other reason to affect their decisions.

Overall, a balanced and practical approach is necessary to achieve positive results.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response addresses the task only minimally and tangentially, which places it at this level. The writer attempts to discuss both views regarding children making their own choices, but the ideas remain largely undeveloped, repetitive, and obscured by severe expression issues. For instance, the opening statement mentions 'children to make the decisions own responsibilities' rather than clearly setting up the two competing perspectives required by the prompt. While the writer eventually attempts to give an opinion in the conclusion, stating 'I firmly believe that when all families allowed to children for make choices', the reasoning is confused and difficult to follow. Furthermore, 9 words were copied directly from the task prompt and could not be credited toward authentic content generation. To improve, the writer must directly address all parts of the task with clear, distinct arguments for both sides, supported by coherent explanations and relevant examples rather than vague assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

Information and ideas are not arranged coherently, leading to significant breakdowns in the overall progression of the text. Although the writer attempts to use basic organisational markers such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclution', these devices fail to establish logical links between sentences and paragraphs due to the broken syntax of the surrounding text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of each paragraph lacks a clear central topic or logical flow. For example, the second paragraph attempts to explain the consequences of allowing children to make choices, but sentences like 'This is because when children make all responsible for every matter to decide it when thay cool for decisions' fail to connect logically. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to group related ideas into clear paragraphs and use basic cohesive devices accurately to guide the reader smoothly through the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that significantly strain the reader's understanding. Throughout the response, the student struggles with appropriate collocations and parts of speech, as seen in phrases like 'considrable disscussion', 'enjoyable moment that to enjoy herself with entertainment', and 'offsprings make decisions in their issues than the main aspects to hide up in life'. Spelling mistakes such as 'considrable', 'disscussion', 'examplr', and 'conclution' further limit the lexical score. While the writer attempts to use some less common words, incorrect forms mean communication is often impeded. To achieve a higher band, the student must expand their vocabulary range and focus on accurate word formation, correct spelling, and natural collocations suitable for academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and errors are frequent throughout the text, often distorting meaning. The writer relies heavily on simple sentences and attempts at complex structures are almost invariably faulty. There are persistent errors in verb forms, tense consistency, prepositions within grammatical patterns, and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'the issue of children to make the decisions own', 'when the children make decisions of matter', and 'when all families allowed to children for make choices'. Punctuation control is also weak, leading to run-on structures and fragmented clauses that obscure the intended message. To improve, the writer must focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, proper use of infinitives and prepositions, and a reduction in frequent grammatical errors.
