Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response responds to the task only minimally. It attempts to discuss both views regarding children making their own choices and provides a general opinion at the beginning and end. However, the development of ideas is very limited and tangential in places, with unclear arguments such as the claim about becoming a "great instructor to others." Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 201 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

Information and ideas are not arranged in a truly coherent way, although there is some basic organisation with paragraph breaks used to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion. Progression is difficult to follow due to a lack of clear overall progression and mechanical or inappropriate use of cohesive devices, such as repetitive transitions like "Firstly" and "Secondly," along with referencing that is frequently unclear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, employing simple words and showing frequent errors in word choice, collocation, and word formation, such as "decissions," "senoirs," and "self taking decissions." These noticeable errors and limited lexical range often strain the reader and impede clear communication of more sophisticated ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures and faulty attempts at complex ones. Errors are frequent throughout the text, including issues with article usage, prepositions, verb forms, and subject-verb agreement, such as "the children have to make their own choices can lead the result" and "the childrens without having choices to taking any decissions can be stayed dependent." These frequent errors occasionally distort the intended meaning.
