Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individuals contend that allowing children to make their own decissions regarding everyday activities like food, clothes and entertainment but finally result in society of individuals varies due to thinking their own wishes.Other individuals argue that small choices play a vital role for children and they may also affect the later life.I firmly agree with both perspective because making personal choice can improve their individuality in the future.

Firstly, few parents are friendly with their children by providing everything and also decide their decisions personally. For example, keeping restrictions doen not build there their personality and they loose the uniqueness.Susequently, selecting the clothes related to latest trends develops a sense of identity while preferring healthy food it improves health. On the other hand, mostly children are intrested to eat junk food it is a bad option for health. However, they will eat only at young age because when they reach their 30's option is not available on account of it leads to health issues like obesity and health conditions.

Secondly, during the life changing decisons young people have confusion, owing to the fact that evreday choices does not matters such as education or career. For instance, parents should involved in their careers and observe their pupils daily as well as selecting or options can confuse their mind it affected to their life.

In conclusion, making a own preference or choosing multiple option based upon any daily activities is very important to the young people.I beleive that guardians are responsible for the protecting and giving permission to their children for independence.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt partially by discussing both views on children making everyday decisions and providing an opinion, though the stance is somewhat unclear initially. The ideas presented are limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion regarding food choices attempts to contrast healthy options with junk food, but the explanation that 'they will eat only at young age because when they reach their 30's option is not available' is confusing and lacks sufficient support. Similarly, the second body paragraph touches on career decisions and confusion, but the reasoning remains vague and undeveloped. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to extend each main point with clearer explanations and more relevant, fully articulated examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays some organization with basic paragraphing and simple transition words like 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the text. The logical flow is hindered by abrupt transitions and sentences that are difficult to follow, such as 'Susequently, selecting the clothes related to latest trends develops a sense of identity while preferring healthy food it improves health.' Cohesive devices are sometimes used inaccurately or repetitively, and referencing is occasionally unclear, making it hard to track the intended meaning between sentences. Improving progression and ensuring cohesive links are used accurately will help the structure flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas about children and decision-making. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout the text, such as 'decissions', 'doen', 'loose', 'Susequently', 'intrested', and 'evreday'. These inaccuracies and awkward collocations, such as 'keeping restrictions doen not build there their personality', can cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, incorporate less common vocabulary with greater precision, and eliminate spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response relies on a limited range of sentence structures. When the writer attempts complex sentences, they are frequently faulty, leading to grammar and punctuation errors that cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent errors with subject-verb agreement, verb forms, and prepositions inside grammatical patterns, as seen in phrases like 'choices does not matters' and 'parents should involved in their careers'. Additionally, punctuation and article usage are weak throughout the essay. Increasing the variety of sentence structures and improving grammatical accuracy by reducing frequent errors will strengthen this area considerably.
