Student answer (Band 5.0)

A group of people says that providing teenagers to make their own dicision on regular basis including foods, clothes and intertainment is likely to result in a society of individuals who only think their own dreams however others believe that it is important for children to take thier choices about there matter that affect them in my opinion we should help to take a dicision but children must know how to solve there own problems by own.

On one hand, nobody cames here with perfection all the people became specialist with practice and being exposed with those obstacles. Similarly, there is an same case with those teenagers who does not have any idea about any thing therfore we must made them familiar with money saving, dicision making and problem solving skills which assist them to become a sucessful human. Furthermore,

On other hand, after giving full freedom to a child who is immature then there is an maximum chances of becomming child uncontrolled. Similarly, we can see many teenagers join groups like gansters and slightly addicted to drugs, drinks and at last became the enemy of there own families and society which cause several problems such as theif, girls trafficking, with murder .

In conclusion, i think we dicuss many problmes and advantages of providing full permission to there child which helps them to develop new good habits such as savings, and problem solving but there is an also chances of being a bad guy for the society and criminal also. Therefore, we must help children to do whatever they want but with gaurdnenning them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and give a personal position: you support children making choices, but say they need guidance. The examples about saving money and problem-solving are relevant, as is the concern about harmful peer groups. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first view is not clearly explained as a concern about selfishness, and the examples of crime are asserted rather than connected to children’s everyday choices. Your conclusion repeats the main points without resolving how much freedom children should have. The response is also 244 words, six words below the 250-word minimum; the 20 words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each view with a clear explanation and a specific example, then state a more precise position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On one hand” and “On other hand,” and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the first body paragraph ends abruptly after “Furthermore,” and the second moves from freedom to gangs, drugs, theft and murder without explaining the links. Connectors such as “Similarly” are repeated and do not always show a clear relationship between ideas. Some references, including “there matter” and “them,” are unclear. To improve, complete each paragraph’s central point, order supporting details logically, and use linking phrases only when their relationship is precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “decision-making,” “problem-solving skills,” “immature,” and “addicted to drugs,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the writing difficult to read, for example “dicision,” “intertainment,” “sucessful,” and “gansters.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “providing teenagers to make” and “full permission to there child.” These errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling; also learn common collocations such as “allow children to make choices” and “give children guidance.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast between the two views and a concluding recommendation. However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, with frequent errors that can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “providing teenagers to make their own…” lacks a correct verb pattern, while “there is an maximum chances” has problems with articles and agreement. Subject–verb agreement is also inconsistent in “those teenagers who does not have,” and several sentences run together without clear punctuation, especially the opening sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with “allow someone to do something,” check singular and plural agreement, and divide long ideas into complete sentences.
