Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both perspectives and state your own view: the introduction says the essay will discuss both, and the conclusion supports children making everyday choices. The second body paragraph gives relevant benefits, including learning to handle difficult situations and make decisions independently. However, the opposing view is explained mainly through parents’ fears of losing control or respect, rather than showing clearly how children’s choices might foster self-centred behaviour. The benefits are also asserted more than developed; for example, explain how choosing food or entertainment builds responsibility, perhaps with a specific example. Your position is present, but its reasoning could be clearer and more consistently supported to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement coherent, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. In the first body paragraph, the shift from parents’ concerns to “This habit is common in uneducated parents” is abrupt and does not clearly connect to the claim about selfishness. The conclusion also repeats the benefits from the previous paragraph rather than drawing the discussion together. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and make references such as “it” or “this habit” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “everyday matters,” “overall growth,” “respect,” and “decisions,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “children,” “choices,” and “decisions.” Some inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts less natural, such as “strong will power,” “society formation,” and “without needing others permissions.” Spelling errors, including “wheather,” “boundries,” and “socity,” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise expressions for discussing autonomy and responsibility, and check spelling and collocations carefully. These changes would make your meaning clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “while other people believe” and a reason introduced by “The main reason for that is.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur across the response. For example, “their children not gonna pay respect them” is missing an auxiliary and has an incomplete verb pattern; “it teaches how to deal” needs a clear subject or object; and “it help children” has subject–verb disagreement. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “children life” and the opening sentence, where a full stop before “while” creates a fragment. Practise accurate clause construction and agreement before adding more complex forms.
