Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some say, it is allowed to childern to take their own decision on everyday matters such as food, clothes and entertainment which likely to result in a society of individuals, while other say it is important for kids to make decisions about the things which affect them the most. I believe that, young one should allowed to make their own chocies on everyday matter, however when it comes to decision which affect them then adults should make the decisions because they have better experience and knowledge.

It is argue that, young ones should take their own decision when it comes to day to day things. It is good, if kids know what they want instead of depend on adults, if we don't make them capable of choosing their own things at young age then it will lifelong depend on their parents. It will teach them failure at early stage of life which help them taking better decision in future. For example, a minor who allowed to watch their own choose of genre movie, they may end up leaning a lot from movie or they may get to experince of real world viturally. However, I believe small choice which does not affect them should be allowed them to take, as it will give them experience if they even fail in their decision it will not have larger impact on them.

Other argue, only important decision which may affect them should be allowed. As it say, great power comes with great responsibility. And children are not in that stage where they know what is good or bad for them. They may end up taking a wrong decision which they have to suffer for rest of their life. Decision which impact their life should be given to their parents. As they have much more experienced and more

knowledge about real word. For example, a father who know his daughter has interest in playing table tennis, can help her to join a ping pong club where she may get better practice and evole the skill to next level, This may result in making her career

In conclusion, some people think it's better to allow children take their decision about everyday matters, while other think they should only be allowed to take decsion which affect them, and I believe the latter part of the statement because, young one have less real world experience and knowledge

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and state a position: everyday choices can help children learn, while consequential decisions should be made by adults. The examples about choosing a film and a parent supporting a child’s table-tennis interest are relevant. However, the response only partly develops the task. The opening describes the first view as producing self-centred individuals, but this concern is not explained or weighed against the benefits of choice. Your position also shifts: the introduction says adults should decide matters that affect children, whereas the conclusion says children should be allowed to decide matters that affect them. Clarify this distinction and explain each view more fully, including how children’s autonomy can be balanced with adult guidance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “For example” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and links between claims are mechanical or unclear. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from independence to learning from failure, then to choosing a movie, without clearly connecting these points to the concern about self-centredness. The contrast between the introduction and conclusion also weakens the overall line of argument. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one main idea at a time, and make references such as “the latter part” explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “responsibility,” “experience,” “decision,” and “career,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “take their own decision,” “real word,” “experince,” and “evole the skill.” Repetition of “decision” and “affect” also limits flexibility. Build a bank of natural phrases for discussing autonomy and guidance, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help distinguish everyday choices from major life decisions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if we don't make them capable … then it will lifelong depend on their parents.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “It is argue that” and “a father who know his daughter” show problems with verb forms and agreement; “should allowed” also lacks the required verb structure. Some sentences run together, particularly around “virtually. However,” and the final example ends as a fragment. Practise accurate clause construction and proofread each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and complete ending.
