Student answer (Band 5.5)
Certain people consider that giving permission to children to make their own decisions in their daily life routines such as, food, clothes, and entertainment is likely result in a society of individuals who only think about their own wishes, While other people argue that it is significant for children to make their choices about matters that affect them. This essay will examines both views, while I consider that it is a better to make our children independent to allow them to make their decisions in each and every matter of their lives.
To begin with, people who think that allowing their children in every matter to make choices for choose something it's will be affect their way of thinking and make them selfish persons. For instance, allowing children to choose clothes for themselves in future they always want to prefer their wishes and if we buy food by their choice it's also affect their mentality in future they will not think about other wishes and will not prefer their parent's choice. Furthermore, if we go outside for entertainment and we prefer our children's choice and fulfill their all wishes they will not prefer their family's choice in future.
On the other hand, people who consider that it is crucial to prefer our children's wish first is a good thing it's make our children independent in future. Such as, if we buy something like food, and clothes by our children's choice it's help them to be independent in future. Moreover, if they go outside or moving abroad in future it's a convenient for them to purchase anything because they have an idea of buying any things. From my prespective, it's a better way to make our children independent to prefer their wishes in everday life and always help them to make good decisions in life.
In conclusion, cetain people argue that allowing our children to make decisions make them selfish while others argue that it's a better way to make them independent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response discusses both views and gives a clear personal preference: you support allowing children to make everyday decisions because this can help them become independent. The examples about choosing food and clothes are relevant, so the task is addressed. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is explained mainly by repeating that children may become selfish, without showing clearly how everyday choices lead to this outcome. The second view also relies on independence as its main benefit; the point about buying things when living abroad needs more explanation. The conclusion restates the two positions but does not reinforce your reasoning. Develop each view with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive: several sentences repeat the idea that children will prefer their own wishes, while the second body paragraph repeats the benefit of independence. Some links are also unclear, particularly the sentence beginning “For instance,” which combines choosing clothes, buying food, and future behaviour. The conclusion is brief and does not bring your reasoning together. Group related points more tightly, use clearer references, and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “independent,” “selfish,” “entertainment,” and “decisions.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural or are repeated, which makes some points less clear. For example, “make choices for choose something” and “prefer their wishes” do not express your meaning naturally; “make their own choices” and “prioritise their preferences” would be clearer. There are also spelling errors such as “prespective,” “cetain,” and “everday.” Aim to use a wider range of accurate phrases for discussing autonomy, responsibility, and family preferences, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional ideas such as “if we buy food by their choice,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms, sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur throughout and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “This essay will examines” has an incorrect verb form, while “it’s help them” and “it’s a convenient” show problems with agreement and sentence structure. The opening sentence also joins contrasting clauses with a capitalised “While” and lacks clear punctuation. Practise building accurate sentences with “if” clauses and use a reliable pattern such as “Allowing children to choose can help them become independent.” Proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
