Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modern era most of the individuals thinks juveniles have the right to taking their own decision related with foods, clothes and entertainment its makes a selfish society who only think about their own. I completely disagree with this statement.

firstly it is important that adults want to know how to take decision, Making choice that helps the children to growing well and its give freedom to the children. adolescence is the stage that gives new idea. parents gives freedom because its help to boost the self confidence between the child and they have the idea how to behave with others.

Secondly without parental guidance juveniles have no idea about the right or wrong things. They doing those things which is likely by them like high screen time, eating junk food. every child needs the guidance of the guardians for taking the right decision. Alone child fails to learn new things and they never learn cooperation and other important things.

At last i would like to say that children without parents sport children does not learn new things and the development of the children will stop but there are some scenario are available where taking decision through children is important because it help to boost self confidence between child.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear opinion—“I completely disagree”—and offer relevant points about confidence, parental guidance, screen time and junk food. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing view is only briefly acknowledged at the end, without explaining why children should make decisions affecting them. Your own position is also not consistently clear: the opening appears to connect children’s choices with selfishness, while the stated opinion rejects that claim. The ideas are limited and need fuller explanation or a specific example. The response is also 40 words below the required minimum, which restricts how fully you can address the question. Develop each side and explain how your examples support your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, and signposts such as “firstly,” “Secondly” and “At last” show an attempt to organise the discussion. The points about freedom and parental guidance are generally grouped into separate paragraphs. However, progression is not always clear: the opening is difficult to interpret, and the final paragraph repeats the idea that children need parental support before introducing the opposing view in a confusing way. Some links between claims are missing, so the reader has to infer how confidence, cooperation and everyday choices relate. Use a clearer sequence—introduce both views, develop each in its own paragraph, then conclude with your opinion—and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “self confidence,” “parental guidance,” “junk food” and “cooperation.” These choices help communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “adults want to know how to take decision” does not clearly express the intended idea, and “parents sport” appears to mean parental support. There are also repeated references to “children” and “decision,” with little variation. Build a more precise range for discussing autonomy and guidance, and check collocations and word forms. For instance, use “make decisions” rather than “take decision,” and “parental support” rather than “parents sport.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “parents gives freedom because its help to boost the self confidence,” but these attempts often contain errors that make the relationships between ideas unclear. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent (“individuals thinks,” “parents gives”), and verb patterns and forms are frequently inaccurate (“right to taking,” “They doing”). Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention: the opening joins several ideas without clear separation, while capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent. Most sentences rely on simple patterns, so the range is limited. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses with “because,” “although” or “when.” Check agreement, verb forms and sentence punctuation during revision.
