Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views: the first body paragraph argues that everyday choices can build maturity and freedom, while the second discusses decisions about education and careers. However, the task asks you to discuss both positions and give your own opinion, and your position is not clearly stated. The conclusion merely repeats the two views and says the argument has no end, so readers cannot tell which view you support or how you would balance them. Several points are also asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that children who choose food and entertainment may become policymakers needs a clearer link and relevant support. State your opinion directly and develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “However” and “Furthermore” help signal contrast and addition. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the move from everyday choices to becoming a policymaker is not explained, and the examples about the US and India are introduced without showing precisely how they support the point. Some linking is mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “Furthermore” and “those children.” The conclusion also repeats the topic rather than drawing the discussion together. Organise each body paragraph around one clear claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “mature,” “rights,” “limitations,” “career choice,” and “future goal,” and you attempt to express ideas beyond very basic statements. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “make positive impact,” “make usefull dicisions,” and “knowlege abould rights.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “significant mature” and “make them or mature.” These errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning, which limits the effectiveness of your vocabulary. Build accuracy by learning common collocations for decision-making and checking spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “if,” and “which,” as in “children can become creative, if they take important decisions.” However, the range remains limited, and attempts to combine ideas often produce faulty sentence structures. For example, “As they do things by own decisions, so they get idea” uses an unclear clause pattern, while “Futhermore, take improtant decisons … this make them” lacks a clear grammatical subject and has incorrect agreement. There are also recurring problems with articles, plurals, and verb forms, as in “a choice on important matter assist them.” These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement.
