Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both perspectives: you mention parents making decisions to protect children from harmful habits, and the view that teenagers should make choices for themselves. Your own position appears in the statement that you would decide for your children while they are immature and later allow them to make their own plans. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The reasons for children’s independence and the possible effects of parental control are not clearly explained, and examples remain general rather than showing how everyday choices build responsibility or selfishness. The final claim about young people forgetting their parents and becoming violent is abrupt and not connected convincingly to the question. Develop each view with a clear reason and a relevant example, then state your position consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is some attempt to move from parental responsibility to children’s independence and then to your own opinion, and linking expressions such as “However,” “Thus,” and “In my future life” signal these shifts. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the main stages of the discussion are difficult to distinguish. Ideas often run together, and connections between them are unclear—for example, the point about teenagers making decisions is followed by a warning about harmful habits without explaining the relationship. Several transitions are also used mechanically, while references such as “they” do not always make clear whether you mean parents or children. Use separate paragraphs for each view and your opinion, and make each sentence build directly on the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “personal decision,” “harmful habits,” “future,” and “adolescence,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “free hands” does not naturally express giving children freedom, and “make their basic matter” is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “modren,” “pratical,” and “adolsecense.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More accurate phrases such as “make everyday choices,” “parental guidance,” and “develop independence” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words like “matter” and “decision.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, using clauses introduced by “when,” “if,” and “that,” as well as some simple statements. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “all parents provides,” “parents should allows,” and “when they allows their children,” where the subject and verb do not agree. The sentence beginning “In modren times” also runs several ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then connect them with one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
