Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response makes a limited attempt to discuss the two views and gives a general preference for children making decisions, especially in the closing statement that children’s decisions can benefit society. It also mentions a possible concern that children may use freedom badly and that parents can guide them. However, the two positions are not explained clearly or developed with relevant reasons and examples. For instance, the claim that children will “provide the many energy and passion” does not show how everyday choices affect their development, and the discussion of society’s benefits remains vague. The writer’s own opinion is difficult to identify consistently. To improve, explain each view directly, give a specific example, and state a clear position that is maintained throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into an opening, discussion and conclusion, and phrases such as “In other way” and “In all words” signal movement between ideas. However, the progression is difficult to follow because sentences often repeat or introduce points without explaining their connection. The opening, “they are both views is discuss,” does not clearly introduce the two sides, while the final paragraph repeats that children’s decisions are good without summarising the reasoning. References such as “they,” “their” and “your” also make it unclear who is being discussed. Use one paragraph for each view, followed by a conclusion, and connect each claim to its explanation with clear, accurate linking and reference.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “choices,” “decisions,” “parents,” “society,” and “future,” so the general subject can be recognised. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or collocation often makes the intended meaning hard to understand. Phrases such as “provide the many facilities of children,” “pressalize and harmful,” and “passion able people” do not express the likely ideas clearly. There are also spelling errors, including “prespective,” “strenght” and “explanning.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check that words fit their context; for example, distinguish between “guidance,” “independence,” and “self-centred behaviour” rather than repeatedly using “facilities.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts some longer sentence patterns, including “Sometimes, many children not all facilities in good way they are use in bad condition,” but control is weak and the relationships between clauses are unclear. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur throughout, as in “the people are argue,” “the children is good,” and “the allowing childrento make own choices.” These problems frequently obscure meaning, and punctuation does not consistently separate complete ideas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using conjunctions such as “because” and “although.” Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and make sure each sentence has a clear subject and main verb before adding further detail.
